Advanced Egyptian Technology Rewrites History?

...Or Knowledge Preserved Through the Flood?

A recent Daily Mail report highlights tombs on the Nile’s eastern bank in Egypt’s Minya region, dated around 5,000 years ago. These structures feature walls thicker at the base and tapering upward for stability, along with sophisticated stone-cutting marks and large wooden supports. Researchers note similarities to early royal tombs and claim the designs foreshadow techniques later used in the step pyramids and the great pyramids of Giza. The discovery is presented as evidence that advanced architectural knowledge was spreading earlier than previously assumed during Egypt’s formative centuries.

This finding exposes the fallacy of interpreting history along evolutionary lines. It aligns with the biblical record. Noah was not a primitive man. And neither were his descendants. Noah received detailed instructions from God and constructed the Ark, an enormous, complex vessel that preserved life through the global Flood (Genesis 6:14–16). Technology and knowledge survived with Noah and his family. The post-Flood world was not a blank slate of cavemen slowly inventing basic skills. The notion that early post-Flood peoples were primitive is an evolutionary assumption imposed on anthropology. It denies the effects of the Fall and the reality that human intelligence has declined over time through genetic mutations and the Curse. What appears as rising intelligence is largely the accumulation of cultural knowledge and shared experience across generations, not individuals surpassing the mental capacity of their earlier ancestors.

Scripture presents humanity as created intelligent in the image of God, capable of naming animals, working metal, and building cities from the beginning (Genesis 1–4). After the Flood and the dispersion at Babel, that knowledge was carried and adapted by dispersing families. Egyptian builders drawing on inherited engineering principles to create durable, stable structures fits this history far better than a story of gradual emergence from ignorance. The Nile itself, which the article notes as the setting, was simply one more resource wisely used by people who already possessed real technical ability.

True science continues to uncover what the Bible has always taught: intelligent design, rapid post-Flood development, and the lasting consequences of sin. The same Creator who sustained Noah through the Flood continues to hold all things together (Colossians 1:16–17).
