From the first page of Genesis to the closing vision of Revelation, the Bible presents history as the purposeful work of the living God. He creates, He judges, He scatters, He gathers, and He directs the rise and fall of every nation so that His redemptive plan moves steadily forward.

When we look closely at the ancient records that have come down to us, we find striking common elements between the Flood account in Genesis and the flood story preserved in the Epic of Gilgamesh. These shared details are not accidental. They point back to a real historical event that both traditions remember, even though one has been preserved with far greater accuracy than the other.
